Are Planned Parenthood baby parts funding Hillary Clinton's campaign?

According to a new report, Hillary Clinton has received significant support from the leaders of Planned Parenthood, even as the organization is mired in controversy over the selling of the body parts of aborted babies. It leads to the uncomfortable assumption that the selling of baby parts may be passively funding the Clinton campaign.

According to a FreeBeacon.com report by Bill McMorris, the amount of money Hillary Clinton has received from Planned Parenthood staff is twenty times more than all the other Democratic presidential nominees combined. It is impossible to tie a direct link between the money Planned Parenthood earned by selling baby parts to money given to the Clinton campaign, mostly because the money trail generated by the individual clinics selling the parts is not accessible to the public. However, the principle is certainly there: Planned Parenthood has benefited greatly from Clinton's support, and both the Clinton and Obama administrations ensured the organization's practices were protected from government scrutiny.

As a senator during the Bush years, Clinton and other Democrats limited Republican efforts to closely regulate abortion procedures. In return, Planned Parenthood executives and staff used the fruit (and baby parts) of their labors to support Clinton's current presidential run. McMorris provides more details:

She (Clinton) received far more from Planned Parenthood employees than her Democratic rivals, the former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., VT), the former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee, and the former Virginia senator Jim Webb. Webb, O’Malley, and Sanders have perfect pro-abortion voting records, while Chafee scored a 90, according to NARAL rankings. But Clinton raised 20 times as much money from Planned Parenthood employees. Sanders was the only other candidate to receive money from the abortion provider, garnering two donations totaling $500.

Vicki Cowart, the CEO of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains, Melissa Flournoy, the state director of Louisiana Planned Parenthood, and Catherine Valentine, general counsel for the San Jose-based Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, all contributed the primary maximum of $2,700 to Clinton’s campaign. Clinton led the entire presidential field with more than $46 million in total fundraising.

Planned Parenthood's support of the Democratic party comes as no surprise, but few realize the scope of their influence. The organization gave $18 million to independent political groups in 2014 and 2012, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Planned Parenthood itself has given nearly $6 million to Democrats since 1990.

Wendy Davis' campaign for Texas governor is struggling, trailing her Republican opponent Greg Abbott by as much as 18 points, according to one poll. That might explain why the Davis campaign has made the move of bringing in a Hollywood celebrity to boost her bid.

Actress Kathleen Turner rose to fame in the 1980s with films like Romancing the Stone and as the voice of Jessica Rabbit, and in recent years, has been a vocal supporter of abortion rights. In an email sent out to supporters Sunday night, Turner made her case for supporting Davis, while asking her supporters to donate to the Davis campaign war chest. The text of her email follows:

Equal pay advocate Wendy Davis won't pay summer workers

Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has been pushing hard to find an issue that will resonate with the state's voters, and believes she has found one on the issue of equal pay. Last year, she introduced an "equal pay" bill that would have given women the chance to sue in state court for wage discrimination, but Gov. Rick Perry vetoed it. Despite Davis' call for equal pay for women, however, many women working for her campaign this summer won't be paid at all.

The Davis campaign is currently seeking individuals to work as "Summer Fellows," but fails to mention that it is basically an unpaid internship. While such unpaid positions are common in political campaigns, it seems disingenuous for a candidate with a political war chest of over $15 million not to pay their workers, especially while Davis herself campaigns for equal pay and a raise in the minimum wage.

Just last week, Davis added to her campaign bottom line with a large Hollywood fundraiser hosted by Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams. The total amount raised was not announced, but donation levels started at $1,000 and ranged as high as $25,000 to be recognized as a "host."

An application for their Summer Fellowship program has since been removed from their website (the link now points to a generic volunteer page), but it outlined the duties of the job, without actually mentioning the lack of pay. "This Fellowship involves long hours and a strong commitment to the goals and tasks at hand," the application stated. "We need Fellows who can delegate and prioritize multiple tasks so that the work can get completed." The application also asked what sort of time commitment a worker could offer, and if the worker had reliable transportation.

An email to the Davis campaign about the program and the question of pay received a response from Field Assistant Brynna Quillin. "Thank you for your email about the Wendy Davis Summer Fellowship," the email stated. "The Fellowship is unpaid, but high-performing Fellows may have the chance to be hired full-time as Organizers."

Government website posts positive bio of racist Planned Parenthood founder

For years, a government webpage has featured a positive biography of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, while failing to mention her racist beliefs, which included the use of birth control to “exterminate the Negro population.”

The webpage in question is featured on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) website, and was originally published during the Clinton administration in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. It was published online on December 12, 1999.

The biography opens with the premise “sometimes social factors slow progress toward improving health more than lack of awareness or the absence of technology. No 20th century public health achievement demonstrates this more clearly than the struggle to provide women in the United States with safe and effective birth control. Margaret Sanger risked scandal, danger, and imprisonment to challenge the legal and cultural obstacles that made controlling fertility difficult and illegal.”

Sarah Silverman's YouTube video features a pro-abortion Jesus

Comedian Sarah Silverman posted a YouTube comedy sketch today in which Jesus Christ visits her, drops an F-bomb, and asks her to spread his message - that women should be allowed to have abortions.

The video, called "Sarah Silverman is visited by Jesus Christ," also features actor Michael Weatherly, who plays Anthony DiNozzo on the hit CBS series NCIS, as Jesus. The video (featured below) shows Jesus appearing in a glittering light to Silverman in her apartment, and asking her to spread his message to people, while dropping the F-word in the process. Silverman then asks "Jesus" when life begins, and Weatherly responds "Fertilized eggs aren't people. People are people."

While wearing a shirt that says "Feminist" on it (apparently that needed to be made clear), Silverman then goes in an odd direction, ranting that "under God" wasn't added to the Pledge of Allegiance until the 1950s. She also gets angry when pointing out that "In God We Trust" became the nation's motto around the same time, saying it was in direct contradiction to the separation of church and state our nation's fathers intended.

Silverman then begins to blame religious intrusion in government for new laws making access to "safe abortions" harder to get. She criticizes Rick Perry for supporting a law that would reduce the number of abortion clinics in Texas from 42 to 5. She says "a woman should not have to pack a lunch to get health care." By "health care," she means an abortion. Silverman fails to mention that the clinics would close because the doctors performing the abortions there must be qualified enough to have admitting privileges at a local hospital. Most are not.

She also rants that women in Texas are "violated" by being "forced" to endure a sonogram showing the "fetus" before getting an abortion. She counters that men, in turn, should have a probe inserted into their penis, since sperm also show signs of "life."

The video is in support of a pro-abortion group called Lady Parts Justice.

Disturbing facts about Wendy Davis' life revealed

Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has built up an image of a strong, independent single mother whose hard work and determination took her from a trailer park, to Harvard, and then to the Texas Senate. However, a new report by Wayne Slater of The Dallas Morning News paints a much different picture than the one Davis and her campaign have painted, and it isn't very flattering. The report, in fact, reveals that Davis glossed over and even misrepresented some aspects of her personal life. She explained the situation by telling the Morning News that "my language should be tighter" when recounting her past.

Wendy Davis wants to be Texas' next governor, but you are known by the company you keep. Her supporters can deny it all they want, but when the Texas legislature passed a bill outlawing abortions after 20 weeks this summer, they were ready to sink to new depths of depravity.

Like those who turned out for her filibuster weeks before, abortion supporters were ready to disrupt the proceedings again in July when the bill was reintroduced. According to state troopers, jars of feces and urine were confiscated from protesters trying to enter the capitol. YMCA kicks out pro-life activists

When members of Students for Life of America went to Austin recently to advocate for a bill that would restrict late-term abortions, their presence at a local YMCA raised the ire of abortion supporters who were members there. After threats from the pro-abortion members, the Y kicked the pro-lifers out. I suppose we should all be concerned about an organization with "Christian" in its name turning its back on pro-life activists, but this all happened in Austin, Texas, the bastion of liberalism in the state.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow misses Chuck Norris' point

MSNBC commentator and full-time mean girl Rachel Maddow didn't make a name for herself engaging in fair debate or giving the truth a chance. Instead, Maddow sneers from behind her desk and passes judgment on all who fail to meet her worldview requirements. Rather than engaging those she disagrees with on an intellectual level, she marginalizes and belittles them so that their arguments carry no weight.

Consider her recent treatment of Chuck Norris, action star turned political pundit. While Maddow cheers the election of stand-up comic turned Senator Al Franken, she mocks the viability of any opinion or statement Norris makes.

A December 2009 column by Norris addressed the recent passage of a health care bill that provides abortion coverage. He wonders what this world would be like if young pregnant girls of Jesus' time had easy, government-funded access to abortion. He wonders how many future leaders or people of worth would have had their lives snuffed out to avoid the judgment of a society that at the time persecuted or stoned unwed mothers to be.

Norris' exact words were: "What would have happened if Mother Mary had been covered by Obamacare? What if that young, poor and uninsured teenage woman had been provided the federal funds (via Obamacare) and facilities (via Planned Parenthood, etc.) to avoid the ridicule, ostracizing, persecution and possible stoning because of her out-of-wedlock pregnancy? Imagine all the great souls who could have been erased from history and the influence of mankind if their parents had been as progressive as Washington's wise men and women!"

Maddow, of course, was not interested in engaging Norris in a philosophical argument. Since she seems to have no respect for him, she disregarded his overall point and took one word out of context to make Norris and pro-lifers look like fools. She somehow rationalized that Norris' quote suggested that Christians wanted to stone unwed, pregnant mothers. "I look at the whole crux - the whole crux of his argument rests on the idea if only we still had stoning for abortion," she said.

For Maddow, arguing fairly or truthfully isn't the point, only being right is, by any means necessary. Her viewers (which now number in the dozens) don't want to see an even-handed debate. They want a target to direct their hate and frustrations on. Since President Bush isn't around, Chuck will do. This blind hatred for all things conservative even allows them to overlook Norris' obvious point: how many lives of consequence has abortion deprived the world?

Maddow ends her comments on Norris and pro-lifers by saying "It`s beautiful. If we didn't have them, we’d make it up." Too late, Maddow. You already do.
