The reality of terror forces Al Gore to cancel climate change 'reality' concert in Paris

Former Vice President Al Gore was forced to cancel a "climate change" benefit concert in Paris called "24 Hours of Reality" after a series of terrorist attacks in the city brought the true realities of the world to the forefront.

For years, Gore and environmentalists including President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have warned that climate change is the greatest global threat to humanity. In a sad twist of irony, the terrorist attacks in Paris Friday night proved just how naive that mindset is.

Friday evening, just before the terrorist attacks in Paris occurred, Al Gore kicked off "Live Earth: 24 Hours of Reality," a telethon/benefit concert at the Eiffel Tower to bring attention to climate change. The event was to last 24 hours, live-stream online, and include performances by Elton John and Bon Jovi. The event only lasted about five hours, however, before Gore and the event's organizers pulled the plug.

“Out of solidarity with the French people and the City of Paris, we have decided to suspend our broadcast of 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth. Our thoughts are with all who have been affected and the entire nation of France,” Gore said in a press statement. “We send our condolences to the families of those who have been killed or injured.”

While fighting man-made pollution is a noble cause, the climate change movement (an entirely different endeavor) has become its own cottage industry among the liberal left, that achieves few results while consolidating power in government. The argument that climate change poses the greatest threat to man came burning down in Paris, as environmentalists ran head on into the true realities of our violent world.

Scientists shoot down Obama's climate change agenda

Much of the nation is still thawing out from the recent polar vortex, but the Obama White House is already trying to spin the event as a result of climate change. On January 10, the White House hosted a “We the Geeks” video chat through Google Plus, discussing, as they describe it, “extreme weather events in the context of a changing climate.” Despite the White House’s best efforts, however, the experts couldn’t even agree that the recent extreme weather was the result of climate change.

The chat included a number of weather experts, as well as advocates from climate change organizations and White House staff. While the discussion was supposed to explain the science behind the polar vortex, the conversation eventually came around to the discussion of climate change, playing right into the President’s environmental policy.

If adventure has a name, it must be Indiana Jones. If political opportunism has a name, it must be Hillary Clinton. How else can you explain the former Secretary of State making a rare public appearance in the midst of multiple scandals breaking to discuss climate change with Dr. Jones himself, Harrison Ford?

Organizing for America: GOP wears "tin foil hats"

President Obama's Organizing for Action (I wonder of they had any problems getting their 501(c)(4) status, by the way) is still out there, fighting for his agenda. With all the problems Obama is facing right now, we shouldn't be surprised that they are hoping to change the subject, which is probably why they're talking about the environment so much lately.

In their latest rant, OFA criticized Republicans over their views on climate change, saying they wear "tin foil hats." It's the same old liberal tactic: if you can't beat them, insult them.

Liberal logic: Climate change creates hookers and AIDS

Meet U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee (a California Democrat, of course), who recently introduced a resolution asking the President and Congress to do something about climate change, because it causes awful stuff like AIDS and prostitution. Didn't know that? Well, now you do, and knowing is half the battle.

Lee's reasoning is some far-fetched scenario that includes farmers not being able to grow food, causing women to sell their bodies to make money, or something like that. I had no idea there was a correlation between the polar ice caps melting and Vegas "escort" services.
