College police arm themselves with guns, and a student JUST CAN'T EVEN

 

A student at Northeastern University in Boston is horrified that her campus police department is arming themselves with semi-automatic rifles for extreme crisis situations. She is so horrified, in fact, that she had to vent in that august publication for the most discerning intellectuals, Teen Vogue. That’s right, grown-ups. TEEN VOGUE.

Criminals target a gun free zone...AGAIN!

Once again, criminals flock to a gun-free zone and wreak havoc on unarmed victims. You've likely heard this story before, but only the location has changed.

KOMONews.com in Seattle reported that after the Washington State Fair declared itself a "gun free zone," criminals wasted no time preying on fair workers. The fair had only been open three days when a gang of thugs went on a crime spree, using guns on victims they knew would be unarmed. 

Would-be robber didn't expect his victim to be armed; now he's dead

A man hoping to rob customers in a restaurant parking lot did not expect one of them to be carrying a gun. He should have known better; after all, he was in Texas. Emphasis on the was.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified by authorities, attempted to rob two people outside the Benihana's restaurant in Dallas Sunday night. When the suspect put on a mask and pulled a gun, one of the customers pulled out their gun, and shots were exchanged. Both individuals were hit, but the would-be robber died later at the hospital. The victim is expected to recover from his wound.

It just goes to show you: there may be criminals in Texas, but they aren't here for long.

Michael Moore: A gun for me, not for thee

He's back. Michael Moore, the anti-capitalism millionaire, has long opposed gun ownership, and the recent Newtown shootings have gotten him going again. However, he has a dirty little secret: not only does he have a personal bodyguard to protect him from criminals, that guard carries a gun too. Guns for personal protection is fine in Moore's mind, but the rest of us are on our own, apparently. The Hypocrisy of Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren can be added to the list of Hollywood actors who can't shut up about their personal views, yet abandon them when it is time to make money. The British actress has been a vocal anti-gun advocate, including endorsing a ban on so-called "replica" guns. That didn't stop her, however, from taking a movie role that paid her millions to shoot replica guns.
