Police arrest surprising suspects behind racist graffiti at a Texas high school

Police in Plano, Texas had real trouble finding the persons responsible for spray painting the n-word at a local high school. When they discovered those responsible, they had real trouble believing their eyes.

The vandalism incident occurred February 27 at Plano West High School north of Dallas. Many lamented the lack of racial unity in the city of Plano, when they saw the n-word spray painted at a predominately white school. That is, of course, until police saw the surveillance tape. It was then that they discovered that it appeared three minority girls were behind the racist graffiti.

Here are pictures of some of the graffiti. The vandalism included various insults, racial slurs, and at least one penis. While the racist terms are horrible, we found the "bye hoes" (with smiley face) kind of hilarious.

Here is the surveillance video of the crime.

After police released the surveillance video online, it did not take long for the individuals to be identified. The Dallas Morning News reports.
Alexandria Monet Butler and Elizabeth Joy Police, both 17, were charged with one count of criminal mischief causing damage to a school, a state jail felony. The two are students in Frisco ISD, police said.

Butler remains in the Collin County Jail, with bail set at $10,000; Police was released Friday after posting $10,000 bond.

Authorities are still looking for 19-year-old Tyrian Rankins.
The incident is still under investigation, although the tinge of controversy is gone.
