Meet Konni Burton, the woman who wants to send Wendy Davis packing

Tea Party activist Konni Burton has emerged as a serious challenger to unseat Wendy Davis, the Democratic Texas State Senator who has become the media darling of the left. Unlike Davis, Burton is pro-life, anti-big government, and believes in statesmanship over political opportunism. With Democrats across the country lining up behind Davis, it is time for the conservatives and libertarians to rise up and push back against the Davis hype and back Burton. Liberal pretends to be a Tea Partier, and MSNBC falls for it

MSNBC was all giddy this week playing a little game of "gotcha" with Glenn Beck and the Tea Party over the "Restore America" rally. Seems they "uncovered" a Tea Party blogger who posted a guide to DC for rally attendees that helped them avoid the parts of town where African Americans live. Of course, it fit their spin of making everyone look like racists, so they failed to do a little digging.

The Daily Beast then discovered the blogger responsible is a big time Democratic contributor and now it appears, an obvious plant to discredit the Tea Party. Of course, the accusations and impressions have been made, so MSNBC won't worry about retractions. That's too bad, because I was looking forward to Maddow's snarky "we got duped" speech.

The Dallas Tea Party vs.Olbermann

The Dallas Tea Party didn't appreciate Keith Olbermann making fun of the entire Tea Party movement by accusing them of being an all white group with no minorities. Of course, from Olbermann's Ivory Tower at Rockefeller Center, he only shows what he wants to show, so through his narrow lens, tea partiers look like angry, racist rednecks.

To speak truth to power, the Dallas Tea Party has posted a YouTube video featuring what Olbermann would call an urban myth: minority Tea Partiers! Surprise! Pelosi is a Hypocrite!

I caught a History Channel documentary on the legacy of Star Wars recently, which says a lot about what they consider historic. Anyway, the documentary featured commentary by politicians, including Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi. In describing the triumph of Luke Skywalker's Rebel Alliance over the Empire, Pelosi said this: "The power always belongs to the people, and that is where anyone who has power derives it from." Clumsy phrasing I know, but compare her words to her actions when the American Rebel Alliance, aka the Tea Partiers, raise their voices. She sounds more like an Emo Darth Vader. Remember this?
