The Kaepernick Effect: Cop car vandalized with 'F*** the Police'

Denton, Texas may seem like a quiet college town in North Texas, but even there, the anti-police sentiment that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has fostered is in full view.

Denton Police report that this past weekend, one of their "decoy" squad cars, which had been placed alongside a busy Denton street to discourage speeders, was vandalized. The tires had been slashed and "F*** the Police" was spray painted across the car. "This is a squad car that an officer is unable (to use) to respond to help that you, our citizens, are needing from us," a statement from the Denton Police Department said.

While the incident resulted in an outpouring of support for Denton police, not everyone was on their side. Russell Starnes posted the following response on the Denton police Facebook page: "Well if the police were more respectful to their citizens, then maybe this would not have happened."
