Criminals target a gun free zone...AGAIN!

Once again, criminals flock to a gun-free zone and wreak havoc on unarmed victims. You've likely heard this story before, but only the location has changed.

KOMONews.com in Seattle reported that after the Washington State Fair declared itself a "gun free zone," criminals wasted no time preying on fair workers. The fair had only been open three days when a gang of thugs went on a crime spree, using guns on victims they knew would be unarmed.

The criminals struck three times in one night, waiting in neighborhoods surrounding the Fair and robbing fair workers as they left the fairgrounds and walked home. KOMO talked to Leif Strom, one of the workers who was robbed:
Strom had just finished a 10-hour shift selling items at the fair and had been paid $100 in cash.
"But then he pulled out a gun and he asked me for it all, and so I gave him $100 and just walked away before he asked me for my phone or anything," Strom said.
Strom said the robber was only 5'8" tall. Strom stand 6'6" tall. Strom said the man's gun made up for the size difference.
"I guess you feel pretty big when you have a gun," he said.
Police officials are surprised at the boldness of the criminals and say such crime at the state fair is highly unusual. Gee, you think it might have anything to do with this?

With no guns (concealed or open carry) allowed on state fair grounds and the surrounding parking lots, workers (who are often paid in cash) are prime targets once they leave. All of the victims of the robberies were fair workers, and the suspects remain at large.
